  How to Pay Your Bill

Automatic Bank Payment
This is the easiest way to pay your bill. The exact amount is automatically transferred from your checking account on, or about, the 10th day of each month. You continue to receive a complete, itemized statement of your phone charges.

By Mail
A return envelope and payment slip are included with your monthly bill.

In Person
Our Customer Service Center at 1605 Washington Street in Blair is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Drop boxes in Blair are available outside our business office, or outside the Blair City Offices at 218 South 16th Street.



What is in my bill?
Your monthly statement contains local service charges billed one month in advance. Service connection charges and long distance charges from AT&T, Sprint, MCI, Excel and Qwest may also be included on your monthly statement.

When is my bill sent?
Your telephone billing date is the first of each month. For your convenience,
we normally mail out statements by the 26th of the preceding month.

When is my bill due?
Your bill is due by the 10th of each month. Depending on your account status, telephone service may be discontinued if payment is late. A “Final Notice” with the amount due will be mailed five days before disconnection to help avoid any service interruption.

If your service is discontinued, you will be charged a $35 reconnection fee to have your service reconnected, as well as the full amount due on your bill. We may also require an additional deposit before reconnecting your telephone service. 


Reading your Bill
Your telephone bill is formatted to provide you with a clear understanding of monthly charges or changes. The format is effectively organized to show you monthly charges, current billing summary, customer information, service summaries, and toll and carrier information. Below is a detailed description of each item on your bill. If you have any questions about your telephone bill, please contact the Customer Service Center at (402) 426-6200.

Identification Information
The information in this section appears on every page of your bill. In addition to your name, account number, billing date and payment due date, it includes the name and address of our telephone company and a number you can call for inquiries.

Payment History
Contains charges from your 
previous bill and any payments received since the last billing date.


Current Bill Summary
Lists your current charges by type and total amount due.

Return Stub
Displays information needed to post the payment to your account properly.

Message Area
This area often contains information that relays important messages regarding your telephone service.

Carrier Selection
This area is reserved to display information on your selected interstate long distance carrier and local long distance carrier.

Subscribed Service Monthly Charges
Lists each recurring monthly charge posted to your account for your subscribed networks, such as telephone service or cable television service. This section identifies each charge and shows the number of units charged, the cost per unit and the total cost.

Toll Section
Shows all toll calls placed during the current billing cycle. It also identifies calls that qualified for discount plans by marking them with a special symbol, which varies depending on the plan and carrier. You may have separate sections or pages of toll calls for calls handled by different long distance carriers. Subtotals are provided for each category of toll calls.

Service Summary
For each service subscribed to, a billing summary will be presented. This lists all charges associated with the service.
