Essential Telemarketing Block

As its name implies, Essential Telemarketing Block makes it difficult for telemarketers, those coducting surveys, and other unwanted callers to bother you and your family.

This service is also available within all American Broadband's telephone feature packages.

Here is how it works. When someone calls a phone line equipped with Essential Telemarketing Block, they hear "The number you have reached does not accept calls from telemarketers. If you are a telemarketer, please add this number to your Do Not Call list and hang up now. Otherwise, press '1' to be connected.

If the caller is not a telemarketer, Essential Telemarketing Block remembers the phone number from which the call originated. In the future this number will not be blocked unless you (1) manually add the number to you list of blocked numbers, (2) add numbers to your list of known (and acceptable) numbers, and (3) to turn the system on or off.
